Ryan Buell quitting Paranormal state

No exact reason was given although many have chimed in to speculate. Some believe he wasn't happy with the show and with A&E and you have to wonder if that's true... After all it's rare for the star and showrunnet to walk away from a franchise before the season is over. One wouldn't do that unless they were unhappy or maybe even moving on to a better project. And Ryan doesn't seem like most investigators. He's got documentary films building buzz on the net and he even moved to executive produce two shows (State and Ghost Prohecies). It's also pretty well known that Ryan is a recluse and rarely does publicity, so maybe he just wanted to move behind the camera? Again this is all speculation.

He did write a blog announcing his decision, at www.ryanbuell.net. I read it and it was pretty sincere ad heartfelt but he doesn't give an exact reason. Says he needs a change and needs to recharge and focuse on family and friends (which could he true). He does promise that we haven't seen the last of him. And I'm inclined to believe him. Ryan has said online a few times he doesn't want to be labeled as "the guy from paranormal state." he's an investigator yes but never aspired to be a reality tv star. And with A&E filling their spots with Hasselhoff and Bob Sagat, it's no wonder why Ryan would want to leave A&E. He's always struck me as doing things on his terms and with integrity and quitting Paranormal State was a bold move.
